Several hours before it froze payments out of the system, MMM Nigeria warned its members not to be greedy.
The scheme on Tuesday morning announced a temporary payment freeze on all accounts for a month. It said the measure is to ensure the sustainability and stability of the platform.
The previous evening, it tweeted: "MMM has always advised that you use your #SpareMoney. Use your #SpareMoney and #SpareMoney only. Don't be unnecessarily greedy."
